SRS, the system that helps users keep their computers clean and in shape. The base foundation is a reputation system that allows users to rate software, giving them the chance to recommend good, safe software and to warn others of applications that may be harmful to a computer system.

Why Should you use SRS

The idea is to help guide the users of SRS to better understand how programs will affect their computers before they have actually run them, allowing them to avoid learning it the hard way. Most people using the internet have - at one point in time or another - downloaded applications to try them out. Sometimes its a catch and sometimes, well, sometimes we get more than we bargained for: 'free' software that turns out to be buggy, financed by gathering sensitive information, displaying ads and banners, degrading system performance and perhaps even impossible to uninstall from the system.

We want users to actively help each other out, spread the word about the great, safe programs as well as warn others about the negative characteristics of less safe programs. After all, imagine having the chance to read some truthful information about how a program behaves instead of just the vendors promotional texts before installing it.
